Sleeping disorders and insomnia are very common, especially in the modern era with technology, street lights, and societal degradation.
Herbs, in the form of capsules, extracts, or teas can be very helpful for a variety of conditions, particularly sleep and relaxation, where medicinal herbs and herbal teas truly promote a sense of peace and serenity that many other effective or functional supplements do not.

Whilst Lavender and Hops both help induce sleep and promote relaxation, they contain some phytoestrogens. The amount or caution is debatable, and like many things, won’t do anything taken once or twice a week, however it is still important to understand this and avoid if you have excess estrogen, low testosterone, breast cancer, or other estrogen-related conditions.
You can often find herbal teas for sleep at most grocery stores. These typically contain chamomile, which could be considered the universal standard due to its broad efficacy and safety. Lavender and valerian root are also often contained in these sleep teas.
These herbs can also help deepen or restore dreams, which can a facet lost with lack of deep sleep or sleeping troubles, for months even. Blue pea flower is particularly known to induce dreams or deeper dreams, as well as help promote lucid dreaming. Lavender has also been used for these effects on dreams.
An herbal tea about an hour before bed is a typical practice for good results. Cultivating peace and serenity, and developing the evening or night time routine (winding down) is also very beneficial or even fundamental, and libel to provide greater effects or heighten the effects of these sleeping herbs.
